The finish is the flavour that lingers after the coffee has been swallowed. The type of finish can vary greatly from one coffee to another. Some coffees leave a lasting tingle on the tongue; others have a lingering aroma. Some coffees will have a very brief finish, while others seem to last for hours. You may also find that certain characteristics come through more prominently in the finish than when the coffee is tasted directly.
